London is one of the biggest art capitals in the world. Take your pick from internationally acclaimed public galleries such as Tate Modern and the National Gallery, smaller spaces such as the Wallace Collection and Courtauld, or the commercial galleries that line the street of Mayfair, St James’s and the East End and which are packed with museum quality art.
Whether you’re a fan of the Old Masters or the Modernists, contemporary sculpture or impressionist paintings – or simply aren’t yet sure of your preferences – you’ll come away from an Artscapes private tour with revitalised interest and excitement. Your guide will open your eyes to new ideas, spark a passion for new genres and encourage you to discuss what you have seen with your friends and family.

Behind closed doors, up creaky stairs and under historic eaves, lie some of London’s most breathtaking galleries. Tread the streets of St James’s as we go deep into the heart of this historic area, famous for its reputation as a centre for art dealers.
See world class art up close and personal in the most intimate of settings as we meet curators and gallery directors. Getting an insight into the glamorous world of the dealer, we’ll learn about how to predict what’s hot in the market, how to spot a fake and how to start an art collection. Over a glass of champagne, we’ll also talk conservation, frames and provenance with the experts.
Afterwards we will visit one of the world’s most famous auction houses, and even attend a live auction if the time is right.
