Artscapes is dedicated to creating bespoke itineraries for all age groups and levels of knowledge and experience. A wonderful way to bring families and friends together is to get under the skin of London’s cultural history with experiential programmes that allow everyone to get involved. Think postcard-painting, food tasting and street-art workshops, behind-the-scenes of London’s most iconic theatres, or Robbie Burns poetry reading and whisky sampling. Or you might be tempted by a visit to a restoration studio to see how the experts save iconic works of art, trying on the jewels used in Downtown Abbey, attending a private harpsichord concert in George Frederick Handel’s House, or having your portrait painted by one of London’s most revered artists.
Artscapes has also spent the past ten years designing a series of intricately planned, themed treasure hunts around London for children and adults. With codes to crack, riddles to solve, and hand-illustrated maps to navigate, these beautifully crafted tailored hunts energise groups throughout the day and provide a fantastic and completely unique way to learn about London.
Please see HERE for more information about our children’s treasure hunts, and HERE for adult and corporate treasure hunts.
Think you can’t draw? Think again…Armed with London’s sweeping history and architecture and Artscapes’ specialist artist guide, you will follow in the footsteps of the painters who were inspired by London’s River Thames. Alongside fascinating historical anecdotes and a quick dive into the two great Tate’s that sit on the Thames, you will learn tricks of the trade in drawing the river and the iconic buildings that line it.
You’ll be helped along with composition, perspective and light and shade, and by the end of the tour you’ll be amazed by what you have achieved. You’ll leave with your own beautifully created set of postcards to keep or to send to friends and family.
